At Indomie, sustainability goes beyond a checklist — it's a flavor in our philosophy. As part of Indofood, one of Asia’s largest food producers, we believe that serving up great taste should never come at the cost of the planet. From sourcing responsibly to reducing our environmental footprint, our practices are rooted in care — for people, communities, and nature. We know that every pack of noodles we produce has an impact. What We’re Doing:
• Monitoring and managing greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1, 2, and 3). • Implementing climate-friendly manufacturing practices. • Promoting responsible sourcing of raw materials.
Water Management
Optimize water use and maintain clean, safe discharge practices.
What We’re Doing:
• Treating wastewater on-site using Effluent Treatment Plants. • Recycling and reusing water wherever possible. • Ensuring compliance with all environmental standards.
Waste Management
Reduce waste generation and promote recycling.
What We’re Doing:
• Running pilot programs for post-consumer packaging waste. • Partnering with Waste Banks for better recycling networks. • Reducing food and industrial waste in production facilities.
Energy Efficiency
Lower energy consumption and transition to sustainable sources.

• Auditing energy usage across operations. • Installing energy-efficient machinery and lighting systems. • Exploring renewable energy alternatives. • Training staff on efficient operational practices

Green Warmindo Program Expansion
Indofood's Green Warmindo initiative empowers local Indomie food stall owners (Warmindos) to collect and recycle post-consumer packaging waste. Launched in 2018, the program has expanded beyond Semarang to other regions, promoting a circular economy and providing additional income streams for small business owners.
Packaging and Plastic Waste Management
Indofood has launched a pilot program for post-consumer packaging waste and collaborates with Waste Banks to enhance the recycling value chain. These efforts aim to reduce plastic pollution and promote sustainable packaging solutions.
Water Conservation Efforts
Indofood emphasizes efficient water use and responsible management of water resources. The company assesses water risks using tools like the WWF International Water Risk Filter and ensures that all wastewater is treated before discharge, maintaining compliance with environmental standards.
